Climate Access:
Although the solutions exist to address the climate crisis there is a lack of public will. Climate Access is a small nonprofit building support for climate solutions by increasing the capacity of those working in climate to communicate and effectively engage the public.
Climate Access offers tools and training to more than four thousand climate communicators in their global network. They develop and impliment effective storytelling and activation strategies and increase the overall capacity of their membership. They specialize in working at the local level, where climate impacts and solutions are experienced the most, there are fewer barriers to policy change and there is the greatest potential for change. Small but mighty, Climate Access is a rising star in the climate communications field.

Rachel’s Network Catalyst Award:
Women of color are on the frontlines of the environmental movement. They are leading grassroots movements and mobilizing change, often utilizing their strong ties to empower communities disproportionally affected by environmental degradation. Even so, less than 1% of total philanthropic funding is directed to benefit them.
Rachel’s Network is working to support and empower women environmental leaders of color with the Catalyst Award. The award offers a $10,000 cash prize for the awardees to use at their own discretion, funding support for her organization, networking and mentorship opportunities, health stipends and so much more. Support extends over multiple years and the awardees have expressed countless positive reviews regarding participation.
